About the case

The Theatro Municipal de São Paulo was designed by architects Ramos de Azevedo, Claudio Rossi, and Domiziano Rossi. Inaugurated in 1922 under the influence of eclectic architectural style, inspired by the Paris Opera, it is considered one of the most important theaters in Brazil.

The building has been part of the state’s Historical Heritage since 1981 when it was listed by Condephaat. In addition to its architectural significance, the theater holds historical notability as it was the venue for the Week of Modern Art, a key event marking the beginning of Modernism in Brazil.

Challenge
